01 · The firm
A firm of two for backyards that are meant to be lived in, not photographed once.
Isaac Reyna and Tristan Vidal run Complete Outdoor Living from San Diego. Every project is designed and installed start-to-finish by the principals. Paver work, turf, concrete, hardscape, and outdoor rooms. A firm of two by intent, focused on the kind of project where the client wants to know exactly who is on site every day.
We work across San Diego County, from the North County coast to East County and the South Bay. The kind of backyard that gets rushed. We take the time.

What we design
and install.

Paver patios
Interlocking concrete pavers with soldier-course borders. Cut, set, and detailed by hand. Permeable systems where the lot needs them. Detailed to last as long as the house.

Turf, planting and gardens
Drought-tolerant Mediterranean and California-native palettes. Specimen trees, hedging, kitchen gardens. Synthetic turf only where it earns its place.

Hardscape and integrated detail
Seat walls, retaining walls, fire pits, planter boxes, integrated benches, and outdoor kitchen surrounds. Material specified to the architecture of the house.

Pergolas and outdoor rooms
Cedar and steel pergolas, louvered shade, dining and lounge benches, integrated lighting. Sized and detailed so the room reads as an extension of the house, not an addition to the yard.

Lighting and finishing
Low-voltage path and architectural lighting, specified to the planting and the hardscape. Installed and tuned on site at twilight so the backyard actually works after sundown.

Posted at the start, not the end.
We are publishing this site at the start of our current project, not the end of a portfolio. The first Carmel Valley project breaks ground this month. No upsells, no design fees up front, and an honest fit conversation before either party commits. If the project is outside our range or our schedule, we will say so on the first call and point you to someone who can help.
